What We Believe

We believe in one God (Deut 6:4), eternally existing in three persons: Father (Eph. 4:16), Son (John 1:1) and Holy Spirit (Heb. 9:14). We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son, the visible image of the invisible God (Col 1:15); He is truly God and man (Col 2:9); sinlessly perfect, born of a virgin, He died for our sins (1 Peter 2:24), was buried and rose again bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven where He ministers as our Great High Priest (Heb. 9:24).

We believe that God has revealed Himself by inspiring people throughout history. Though written by human hands, the Scriptures were breathed by God, through the Holy Sprit. As the Word of God, the Bible is uniquely authoritative, as it reveals the person and mission of Jesus, His purposes for humanity and all matters of faith and practice (2 Tim 3:16).

We believe that every person has sinned and is separated from God (Romans 5:12), but all have access to forgiveness, restoration and a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16). Through Jesus, each believer possesses the security of eternal life (John 5:24). We believe that each believer is indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14) who enables the believer to live a godly and fruitful life (Gal. 5:16,22,23).

We believe that the church is made up of all believers throughout the world and is a living entity known as the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of the church (Eph. 1:22,23). The local church is composed of believers who meet together under Christ’s authority (Col. 1:18).

We believe in the bodily resurrection of every person (John 5:29), everlasting life for the saved (Rev. 22:1-5) and everlasting conscious punishment for the lost (Rev. 20:10-15). We believe in the personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for the dead and the living “in Christ” (1 Thess. 4:14-18).
